I had tiny oysters the first time I tried them – kumomotos I think – with a cucumber martini. Perfection. That made me an oyster fan. unfortunately, I ordered them again in a great French restaurant with a Champagne mignonette and it was disaster. They were supposedly excellent, but the large size and softer texture made me feel like I was trying to swallow the world’s largest booger. I gagged and ended up spitting it into my napkin and giving up on the rest. But I’m coming to Vic in two weeks, will come in for the tiny ones and bring my parents as well.
